Growing in Christ’s Image
A Character Book of Remembrance

Add to your faith virtue, … 2 Peter 1:5

Character is the second most important thing we disciple our children in. It is something we both teach and train in – day in and day out. It isn’t the easiest thing we can teach our children. Math, Reading, HisStory are all so much easier. But after the knowledge of God and Salvation by Jesus the Christ alone, Character is the most important thing we can train our children in. We must have the Character ourselves to be consistent and diligent in teaching them. We must realize that the trials we face, even in this, are for our own maturing and growth in the image of Christ.

Our Character studies enable us to clearly identify and define the character quality, come up with practical applications that demonstrate it, and journal our progress in it. These journal forms will help you document your study into a Book of Remembrance for future reference, both as a Journal of Remembrance for yourself and in discipling others. We recommend you put them in page protectors in 3-ring binders.

But the point is not that your children have nice orderly and complete notebooks of Character information, but that it grows in their hearts, that their lives are transformed by God, and conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus. The Journals are just a tool of Remembrance of the information, illustrations, and applications we learn.

This resource contains over 25 journaling forms in 2 different formats for beginning writers (who need ruled mid-lines) and more experienced writers (who don’t). 60 pages.

This resource can be used for personalized study, (searching the dictionary, the Scriptures, and other resources for your own study,) or with character teaching resources you have.

The winner of this drawing will receive Growing in Christ’s Image. You can enter this drawing several ways. Increase your chances of winning by doing all of them! Each must be a separate comment to this post (below.)

With a toddler in the house, we are constantly talking about obedience. Even as an adult, I sometimes need the reminder to stay obedient to the Word of God.
