Time & Space
Such is the setting for God’s story through mankind. But you get up to 6000 years and 7 Continents and it gets a little hard to keep it all straight. Enter Timelines and Maps. And for those in this mobile generation, that means mobile apps for Timelines and Maps. ~ Me
Wonders of Old & MapTrek Apps
Set of 3 Apps
Wonders of Old: Ancient Timeline
A beautiful timeline reference app which will give you a unique perspective on the events of world history.
The truth is… many students may study the fall of Carthage, the Han Dynasty, the Rosetta Stone, and the archeological site of Teotihuacan, never realizing that these four events all happened within the same timeframe – 202-196BC. These events may seem unrelated and yet the use of a timeline can unlock the mystery as to why all of these events occurred within the same period of time. A timeline will give you and/or your student a unique perspective of time. By seeing the events of history recorded in linear progression, you will make connections between those events in history that you might not otherwise make.
Wonders of Old: Medieval Timeline
This stunning timeline reference app which will give you a unique perspective on the events of world history.
The truth is… many students may study the fall of Constantinople to the Ottoman Turks, the end of Hundred Years’ War between France and Britain, and the printing of the first book, the Gutenberg Bible, never realizing that these three events all happened within the same year – 1453AD. These events may seem unrelated and yet the use of a timeline can unlock the mystery as to why all of these events occurred within the same year. A timeline will give you and/or your student a unique perspective of time. By seeing the events of history recorded in linear progression, you will make connections between those events in history that you might not otherwise make.
Map Trek: Ancient World
Map Trek: Ancient World mobile application is a historical atlas and geography encyclopedia in one.

I have apps on my iphone. Mostly they’ve been used for fun, not integrated as a serious tool yet. But I see that as a bonus right now.
I just got an iPhone but haven’t really used it for school yet.
I haven’t used any yet. But I’d love to hear about some that would be useful.
