Friday Food – Brownies

I could share my mother’s delicious brownie with you today. It is indeed yummy, but it wouldn’t help you on your road to good health and weight loss. It wouldn’t be Good for You-Naturally!

Instead I will share with you another delicious, special brownie recipe I shared with our Good for You-Naturally!™ for Life Online Course & Community this week.  A yummy, super quick and easy raw brownie. These truly have the texture and even taste of cooked brownies. They take only 4  ingredients and probably no more than 4 minutes – start to finish. Measure.  Blend. You’re done.

Good for You-Naturally!™ bRAWnies

from the kitchen of Lisa @ Me & My House

  • 1 cup organic raw walnuts
  • 1 cup organic medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/4 cup raw carob (or cacao) powder
  • 1/2 tsp. real vanilla

Put walnuts into food processor and process until ground. With processor still running add halved dates, 1 at a time, then carob power and vanilla. Process until smooth. Check consistency. It should hold together. If it doesn’t, add just a little bit of water.

Press into pan. (Double this recipe to fill an 8×8 pan.) Cut into squares. Eat as is, or refrigerate to firm up a little more.

NOTES: You can stir in some chopped walnuts, if you like some chunky nuts in your brownies.

Neither Safe nor Necessary

There are many medical procedures where the cure is worse than the dis-ease. There are also many where the risks far outweigh the benefits. This can be especially true, when it comes to infants.

Hepatitis B vaccination has been recommended by federal health officials since 1991 for all infants and children.

There are now hepatitis B vaccine mandates for children to attend daycare or school in 47 states, despite strong evidence that the health risks of doing this outweighs the benefit for your child.

Three hepatitis B shots are part of the standard government-recommended childhood vaccination schedule, with the first dose given at 12 hours of age in the newborn nursery of most hospitals.

But hepatitis B is a primarily blood-transmitted disease associated with risky lifestyle choices such as unprotected sex with multiple partners and intravenous drug use involving sharing needles—it is NOT primarily a “children’s disease.”

  • Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia purpura
  • Convulsions, and brain disorders such as encephalitis (brain swelling) and brain demyelination
  • Immune dysfunction
  • Visual and hearing impairments, including optic neuritis
  • Pancreatitis

Do you know if you’re consuming Genetically Modified foods? 65% say they haven’t, another 15% doesn’t know. That 65% is (most likely everyone of them) wrong. If you aren’t informed, and don’t make conscious choices against them, you most likely are consuming them too. If you’ve eaten any foods (that are not organic, and labeled NO GMO’s) that contain, in any form, corn, soy, sugar beets, cottonseed or canola oil you’ve eaten GMO’s, and mostly likely eat them many times a day.
