Greetings from Me and My House,

It’s not too often that I post these kinds of things, but they can be basic helps. Here’s a few tips for time management for your children pertaining to their studies.

See my from me post today for a few tips on general household time management.

Keep things in their place and Think ahead. Plan what they need before beginning and gather all necessary tools. Saves much time if they know where they are. :-)

Also arrange activities to provide variety and break things up – alternate quiet and active studies. Take breaks when needed, doing a different type of activity, so the time spent studying is productive.

More another time.

Greetings from Me and My House,

I’ve been busy the last couple of weeks and have several new resources available for you now! Not that it’s easy for this busy mom (you know what that is like) to get what we do put into a format that is easy for you to use. But it’s a labor of love. I love being a “helper of your joy”. (See 2 Cor. 1:24) So I hope you enjoy the resources as you Disciple for Life!

Freedom & Simplicity™ in Handwriting is a principled approach to
teaching penmanship. Perhaps you got our free sneak preview of the first part of it a couple months ago. This book contains all you need to teach handwriting – foundational studies, history, rudiments and principles, as well as instruction for teaching and learning both manuscript and cursive.

Handwriting Journal Pages is over 50 pages of notebooking forms designed to correspond with the teaching in Freedom & Simplicity™ in Handwriting. Our Introductory Special price for the 2 together is $10.

I just found out christianaudio.com has a 4 day sale listed on their website. 40% off through this weekend. They have some good stuff and some stuff I wouldn’t recommend, but no doubt you can find something good to listen to there. Perhaps a book you’ve been meaning to read, but never have time to sit down long enough. Audio books are great for situations like this. I also find that some hard to wade through books are easier to understand when someone else is reading them to me.

Perhaps the Confessions of Augustine or the Hiding Place, the Attributes of God by Tozer or Pilgrims Progress, Desiring God or Robinson Crusoe, the Sovereignty of God or the Universe Next Door, True Spirituality or Aesop’s Fables. There’s several good choices for you to consider.

And, I may have mentioned this before, but in the Christian History section there is a whole series by John Piper that are excellent. They begin with the letters DG. Oh, and these ones are FREE!
