Corn Bread &#8211; Friday Food"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.me-and-my-house.org\/blog-fromme\/category\/nutrition\/recipes\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"fridayfood2.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.me-and-my-house.org\/blog-fromme\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/fridayfood2.jpg\" alt=\"fridayfood2.jpg\" align=\"left\" \/><\/a>On these great chilly fall days nothing beats a pot of homemade <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.me-and-my-house.org\/blog-fromme\/chili-non-carne-friday-food\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chili Non-Carne<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and a pan of <strong>Good for You-Naturally! Corn Bread<\/strong> with honey butter, to warm the tummy. But be sure to include plenty of raw veggies with it to get your optimal nutrition. I shared this menu in my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.me-and-my-house.org\/blog-fromme\/category\/nutrition\/todays-menu\/\">Today&#8217;s Menu<\/a> this week, and since I&#8217;ve already posted my Chili recipe, I figured I&#8217;d complete the meal by posting my Corn Bread recipe today.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: navy;\"><strong>Lisa&#8217;s Good for You-Naturally! Corn Bread<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Mix together:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 c. whole corn meal\/flour (freshly ground organic)<\/li>\n<li>1 c. whole wheat flour (freshly ground organic)<\/li>\n<li>dash unrefined\u00a0salt (Real\u00ae, himalayan, celtic)<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp. non-aluminum containing baking powder (Rumford&#8217;s)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In a separate bowl, mix together:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 farm fresh egg (from free ranging organically fed chickens)<\/li>\n<li>2 Tbl. raw organic coconut oil (melted) (or extra virgin organic live oil)<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbl. raw honey<\/li>\n<li>1 c. <a href=\"http:\/\/frommeandmyhouse.com\/gfy\/almond-milk\/\" target=\"_blank\">not-milk<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Combine the contents of both bowls, mixing lightly.<\/p>\n<p>Pour into greased 8&#8243; cake pan or muffin pan &#8211; or preferably a greased cast iron skillet.<\/p>\n<p>Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes for pan bread, 10-12 minutes for muffins.<\/p>\n<p>Makes 10-12 (so obviously, we double or triple.) \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: navy;\"><strong>Honey Butter<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 stick softened, real unsalted butter (preferably organic)<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 c. raw honey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mix well.<\/p>\n<p>For Life &amp; Health &#8211;<br \/>\nFor Me and My House ~ At Jesus&#8217; feet,<br \/>\nLisa @ <a href=\"http:\/\/frommeandmyhouse.com\/\">Me and My House<\/a> ~ Discipleship for Life!<br \/>\nOrder Christian &amp; Home Ed Resources <a href=\"http:\/\/frommeandmyhouse.com\/resources.htm\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Get future posts to this blog by email:<\/p>\n<p>[subscribe2]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On these great chilly fall days nothing beats a pot of homemade Chili Non-Carne\u00a0and a pan of Good for You-Naturally!
