I really love to read too and do spend a lot of time reading so I thought about joining the Puritan Reading Challenge but I decided not to. I’m still reading “True Spirituality” by Francis Schaeffer but I’m really trying to concentrate on the PA “Red Books”, Mr. Rose’s book, America’s Providential History by Mark Beliles/Stephen McDowell, and some other supplemental to PA besides a couple of books with the girls. Right now I behind on house work and that bothers me because it makes my husband more comfortable with things more orderly. He’s good about it but through these years of marriage I’ve learned it makes him more comfortable if the house is more orderly. It doesn’t bother me personally but I like to keep up with the house work more for his sake. So this year, some of my reading sits a bit in order to keep at the house more. And, like you, I’m trying to get better sleep by going to be earlier. Balancing all this gets tricky. Sure wish there was a way to read and sleep at the same time.

Tracy – I’m looking forward to getting into Family Driven Faith. I love all the messages I’ve listened to by Voddie. And we highly recommend When You Rise Up by R.C. Sproul Jr. I have it listed as, “If you only read one book on home education, make it this one.”

Barb – And thank YOU for visiting MY blog. (You might like my education one too.) Yes, I would no doubt like E. Elliot’s book too. One of my fave Scriptures is, “Of the making of books there is no end.” My dh believes it says, “Of the buying of books there is no end (for my wife).

Should you make your goals and then need something new to read, have you tried “Discipline: The Glad Surrender” by Elisabeth Elliot? I’m really enjoying it.
