That would work. Just make a “mini” blanket, 18″ square, (if you are working with a blanket approx. same size as I mention.) The sew it on 3 sides to the center of the bottom of your big blanket. (bottom of blanket, and 2 sides of “mini”.)

so if I just wanted to make a blanket to lay on the beach I just make an 18 inche pillow opening and sew it to the center and thats it right

Do you have more detailed instructions (measurements)for a baby quillo? …and also a child’s quillo?
would appreciate it.
